Booking a codeshare through Aeromexico or Delta actually matter?

Looking at a Mexico to USA trip and the flights are all Aeromexico and Delta codeshares. Not sure if there’s any real benefit to booking with one over the other now that you can pick which SkyTeam airline you credit miles to anyway. Does it make any difference at all?
