Keeping Reserve + Platinum just for the companion certs?

I currently have both the Delta Amex Reserve and Platinum. Haven’t hit the one year mark yet so I have not received the companion certificates. When renewal comes around it will be about $1000 total in annual fees. On paper, a first class companion cert plus an economy one...
