Flying QF7 from Sydney to Dallas later this year on Qantas Airways in Premium Economy.
When we booked (in September 2025), all the front rows were already unavailable for selection. They still appear blocked now.
We are traveling with an infant, so ideally we would like the front middle row.
Does anyone know why these seats are blocked and whether they usually get released later (for example at check-in), or are they permanently held back for operational reasons like bassinets or crew allocation?
Any insights would be appreciated.
