Had one of those rare genuinely nice moments in travel today. I was in Polaris and noticed a young couple mid 20s, super polite got upgraded to 2E and 3B. They didn’t ask anyone to move, were careful not to bother anyone, just quietly thrilled to be there.
I offered to switch so they could sit together, but they both said no, insisting I paid for my seat. Just wholesome energy all around. They were texting each other in-flight and picking movies to watch. Honestly adorable.
Later found out they just paid for the upgrades themselves, not GS or anything. Meanwhile another couple in row 1 gave the crew Christmas cards and gift cards and got a captain shoutout. Whole flight just had good vibes. Christmas spirit hit hard on this one.
