Why does Qantas require passengers to check in online 24 hours before departure?
On a recent trip, I did not complete online check-in for QF42 scheduled at 20:45 to Sydney. The flight ended up being delayed until 03:30, and I was fortunately able to switch to a different flight.
This made me wonder, if I had already checked in online earlier, would I have been locked into the delayed 03:30 departure instead of being able to change my booking?
