Remember when crews would hang up your jacket?

In business and first class, crews used to offer to hang up your suit jacket as a matter of course. It was just part of the experience.

I’ve taken four United flights this month and not once was I offered. And if you try to hang it up yourself, the closet is usually packed with crew bags anyway.

For contrast, I’ve also flown Qatar four times this month. Every single flight they offered to hang up my jacket without me asking.

It’s a small thing, but it really highlights how far service standards have slipped.
