Just did a quick trip to Paris and ended up trying both cabins on the same route. Flew Premium Plus from San Francisco to CDG, then Polaris on the way back, so it was easy to compare the two.
What stood out is that the soft product is actually pretty similar. Food, service, and overall experience didn’t feel dramatically different.
The big difference is obviously the seat. Polaris having the lie flat bed really changes the flight, especially on longer routes like this.
Used saver awards for both flights too. Paid 50k miles for Premium Plus and 80k for Polaris. For an extra 30k miles the bed and slightly better service felt worth it, but finding availability is the hard part.
