I recently flew from London to San Francisco on one of United's newer 787 aircraft with the updated interior and decided to try the Polaris Studio upgrade.
While the experience was certainly premium, I came away feeling that it was not worth the extra cost. One of the biggest disappointments was that the doors were not approved to fully close, which reduced the sense of privacy that the product is supposed to offer.
The Studio seats are also located close to the lavatories, and passengers frequently waited in the aisle rather than using the galley area, creating additional foot traffic nearby.
The entertainment screen was impressively large, but I typically watch content on my iPad, so that feature did not add much value for me. I also found the storage options lacking compared with Qatar Airways' Qsuite, which offers a more practical and spacious setup.
Overall, it was a very nice product, but based on this experience, I would not pay extra for the Studio upgrade again.
