Polaris downgrade compensation, does this sound right?

We bought two one way Polaris tickets from Seoul to SFO, $4,400 total so $2,200 each. At check in we got downgraded and United offered us a $2,500 travel voucher each plus seats in Premium Plus.

Now the cash refund posted and it was only $620 per person as the fare difference. That feels low. When I look at current prices, Premium Plus on that route is closer to $1,100 one way, so by that math the refund should’ve been a few hundred more each.

Has anyone dealt with a Polaris downgrade like this before? Is this just how United calculates it, or is it worth pushing back? Curious if anyone’s actually gotten more after fighting it.
