I’m currently in Manila for a work trip and needed to book my flight back home. I noticed United was offering Saver Economy tickets for only 32.8k miles, and since award tickets can now be upgraded, I was able to secure a confirmed upgrade to Polaris using just 40 PlusPoints.
I’m still surprised by how valuable this turned out to be. Flying roughly 7,000 miles in Polaris for what essentially feels like the cost of a domestic economy YN ticket seems like an incredible deal. It’s one of those moments that really highlights how useful PlusPoints can be when everything lines up properly.
