Only found out from a pre-arrival email that it would be closed

I received the usual "your stay is coming up" email from Hilton and noticed an unexpected detail buried in the message.

Apparently, an amenity or facility at the property will be closed during my stay, yet no one had contacted me directly beforehand to let me know about it.

It was a bit surprising to discover such an important update through a routine pre-arrival email rather than receiving a separate notification from the hotel.
