Question
So my partner and I just got back from BKK to Sydney on QF24, and because we booked through a third-party agent, our Frequent Flyer numbers never got attached to the booking. No big deal, right? Just submit a missing points claim afterwards, worked for me before....
Well...Except Qantas just sent me a letter stating they have no record we were ever on that flight.
I've given them everything. Boarding passes. Booking reference. Invoice. I even have the baggage tags still sitting in my bag. And yet, according to Qantas, we apparently teleported from Bangkok to Sydney.
So the malicious compliance side of me may have some fun here.
If Qantas has put in writing that there is no record of our booking and we were not on that flight... then I have official written confirmation from the airline themselves that no service was rendered. That's a pretty solid foundation for a credit card chargeback for the full cost of the flights.
Let's see how quickly their records "update" once a chargeback claim lands on their desk with their own letter attached as evidence.
Has anyone else gone down this road? Would love to hear how it played out.
