My mother is booked to fly business class from Perth to Paris in May, with a transit through Singapore. She is 79 years old and experiences significant anxiety, although she is physically able to walk without issues. This will be her first time traveling alone.
I’m looking for the best way to arrange assistance for her during the transfer in Singapore, particularly help getting between the gate and the lounge, and then back to her connecting flight.
I suggested she could stay with fellow business class passengers, but she isn’t comfortable relying on that. I’m also unsure whether I should request special assistance by mentioning anxiety or neurodivergence, or if there is a more appropriate way to arrange support through the airline or airport services.
Any advice would be appreciated.
