Had a guest check in yesterday after my cleaner sent me timestamped photos showing everything spotless. A few hours later, they messaged complaining about “dust,” then sent this:
“We don’t want to cause trouble… we propose a refund plus €1,100 now. In that case, we’ll keep our adventure low-key in our review.”
I reported it immediately as extortion, but Airbnb refuses to call it that and even warned me I’d get a cancellation strike if I asked them to leave. Unreal. Has anyone else had Airbnb side with guests in a situation like this?
