Hi, I am trying to understand what usually happens when a Qantas booking operated by Emirates is changed to the next day.
My itinerary is Rome to Dubai, then Dubai to Adelaide. The second leg has now been moved to the following day, which turns what was a 2 hour layover into a 26 hour stopover in Dubai.
What normally happens in this situation? From what I can see on the website, I am hoping this qualifies for hotel accommodation and possibly compensation due to the schedule change.
The flight is still a few weeks away, but it looks like the airline has shifted the Dubai to Adelaide service to a different weekly schedule, which is causing the connection issue.
I have never had a major schedule change like this before, so I would appreciate any insight on what typically gets offered in these cases.
