I recently flew in United's new Polaris cabin from San Francisco to London. The cabin definitely feels more modern with updated digital controls, a larger entertainment screen, and a bigger tray table. My seat also had a privacy door, although it couldn't be used because it has not yet been approved for operation.
That said, I couldn't shake the feeling that the actual seat was more compact. The lie-flat bed seemed shorter, the footwell felt tighter, and the seat itself wasn't as comfortable as I expected.
I was also disappointed that the food still didn't match the premium price of the ticket. For a business class product at this level, I think the meals should be noticeably better.
Has anyone else had the same impression, or was it just me?
