Hi everyone, I’m flying Manila → Brisbane → Christchurch on Qantas Airways, all booked under the same itinerary.
I have a 1 hour 45 minute layover in Brisbane, and I’m a bit confused about the transfer process.
Do I need to:
go through immigration or customs in Brisbane Airport
collect my checked luggage
recheck it for the onward flight to Christchurch
Or will my baggage be automatically transferred since it’s one booking?
Also, as a follow-up question: since I’m transiting through Australia, do I need a transit visa even if my layover is only 1–4 hours?
This is my first time doing a connection like this, so any clarification would really help.
