Front desk employee here and had a weird one today. Guest comes up asking for bottled water. I offer to charge it to the room and he immediately says he’s entitled to free water every day of his stay as a rewards member.
My manager stepped in and said no, it’s only complimentary water at check in, not unlimited during the stay. Guest wasn’t rude, just very confident that “every other hotel does this” and that it’s a rewards benefit.
Honestly, I probably would’ve just handed him the water if he hadn’t gone the policy route, but now I’m genuinely curious. Is there actually a Best Western rewards benefit that includes daily free bottled water? Or is this just one of those things where some properties do it to be nice and guests assume it’s universal?
Would love to know what the actual policy is, especially from other BW folks.
