My wife used the minibar during our hotel stay and consumed three items, even though I usually try to avoid using it since the prices are much higher than buying snacks elsewhere.
At checkout, we were not asked about minibar consumption and the bill was already settled without any minibar charges included.
Now I’m wondering if we were simply not billed by mistake and what the ethical expectation is in this situation. Did we effectively “get away” with not paying for the minibar items?
