80 min connection in Dallas from SYD… way too tight?
Looking at reward flights to NYC and Qantas keeps offering SYD to Dallas, then an AA domestic flight 80 minutes later.
That feels very tight for arriving into the US. You’d have to clear immigration, collect bags, clear customs, recheck, then security again. 80 minutes doesn’t sound comfortable at all.
It’s been years since I’ve flown into DFW internationally, but I can’t imagine that being a relaxed connection.
Why does Qantas even show this as a valid option? Is 80 minutes actually doable at DFW if everything runs on time, or is this one of those technically legal but stressful connections?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s done similar recently.
