I’ll be taking my first solo cruise on the Divina this August, and I’m feeling a bit anxious about it. One of my biggest concerns is finding places to sit, whether at the buffet or on deck. Since I’ll be traveling alone, I worry that if I leave my seat for a few minutes to grab a drink or use the restroom, someone else might take it before I get back.
I’m definitely not planning to reserve a sunbed or table for long periods, but I would like to be able to step away briefly without losing my spot.
My dad even 3D-printed a small and cute "BRB" sign for me to leave at my seat. Do you think something like that would be helpful, or is it unnecessary? Would people respect it, ignore it, or could it end up disappearing?
I’m probably overthinking things, but I’m starting to wonder if booking a solo cruise was the right decision. I’d love to hear from anyone with solo cruising experience.
