Would you pay $500 to upgrade to Premium Economy?

I'm considering upgrading from Economy to Premium Economy on an American Airlines flight from Charlotte to Munich for an additional $500 per person.

The main thing holding me back is that we currently have bulkhead Economy seats in a two-seat section, which offers extra space and avoids having strangers seated directly beside us. Moving to Premium Economy would mean sitting in a four-seat row instead.

For those who have flown this route or experienced American's Premium Economy product, do you think the larger seat, extra recline, improved service, and added comfort justify the $500 upgrade? Or would you stick with the bulkhead Economy seats and save the money?
