Just spent 10 days at the Holiday Inn Express in Peabody and honestly it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Rooms kept having busted outlets, toilets that didn’t work, heat blasting in warm weather, and nobody ever fixed anything. I ended up using the lobby bathroom for most of the trip and my room smelled awful the whole time.
No ice anywhere, internet and cable died, and water started soaking into the carpet. Staff wrote down my room number every time and then ignored every request. Later found out the place is being used as a shelter during bad weather, which they never mentioned at check-in.
I’ve been with IHG for years and didn’t expect luxury, just basic stuff like a working toilet and a clean room. This place didn’t deliver any of that.
