I’ve thought about this before and it really comes down to how much you trust the WiFi.
Cruise internet has gotten better, especially with Starlink, but it’s still not something I’d fully rely on for a full 8 hour workday. It can be fine one hour and then randomly slow or drop.
If your job is flexible or async, probably doable.
If you’ve got meetings, deadlines, or anything where you have to be online at a specific time… that’s where it gets stressful fast.
Also feels like you’d miss a lot of the cruise if you’re working full days, especially on sea days.
Personally I’d only do it if:
Work is low pressure
You’ve got backup plans (downloaded stuff, flexible schedule)
Otherwise it kind of defeats the point of being on a cruise.
