My mom and I recently flew from Madrid to Venice with Wizz Air, and her checked suitcase did not arrive with us. We both checked in normally and the baggage was tagged and sent to the aircraft, but it was left behind.
They have now located the suitcase and sent it to Venice, but the issue is that we do not live in Italy. We live in another country, which means we would have to travel back to Venice just to pick it up, spending both time and money.
Staff at Venice airport told us they cannot ship the luggage and that Wizz Air does not operate flights to our country. Because of this, we are unsure what options we have left.
Is there any way to request that Wizz Air deliver the bag to us by courier or post since the issue was caused by them? If anyone has dealt with a similar situation, any advice would be appreciated.
