Earlier this year, I was flying to Toronto when our Delta aircraft crash-landed and flipped upside down on the runway. As a passenger, I’ll never forget the chaos the smell of jet fuel, the disorientation, and the scramble to get out. Emergency slides weren’t deployed, and some of us had to drop several feet to the tarmac to escape. Thankfully, I walked away, but others weren’t as lucky, suffering serious injuries.
Now, hearing about the lawsuit from one of the flight attendants onboard, I can’t help but think about the training, decision-making, and safety protocols that come into play in moments like that.
Has anyone else been through a similar aviation incident? How did your airline handle it, and did it change the way you feel about flying?
