Will new Lufthansa carry-on rules affect an already booked flight in August

Lufthansa has introduced new rules regarding carry-on baggage. I already have a flight booked for August and I want to know whether these changes will affect my booking.

Will I need to pay extra fees for carry-on luggage on my existing reservation, or do the new rules only apply to bookings made after the policy change?
