I have EuroBonus Silver status with SAS and originally booked a multi-leg itinerary using the Young Go Light fare. Even though it’s a light fare, my status normally gives me one included 23kg checked bag.
Recently, my FRA–CPH segment was cancelled and SAS rebooked me onto two Lufthansa-operated flights instead.
Now I’m unsure whether my checked baggage allowance still applies. In the SAS app, the checked bag information has disappeared for the Lufthansa replacement flights, although it still appears for the later CPH segment.
I really need to travel with checked luggage, so I’m trying to understand whether:
My EuroBonus baggage benefit still carries over to the rebooked Lufthansa flights
The baggage entitlement may simply not be displaying correctly in the app
Or if I’ll need to pay separately at the airport
If anyone has experience with SAS status benefits after being rebooked onto another airline, I’d appreciate any insight.
