If you were anywhere near Seaside during Car Week, you probably felt the chaos. I live nearby and watched as hundreds of high-end cars and spectators turned the In-N-Out parking lot into a full-blown illegal takeover. It wasn’t just one night either this went on for three straight nights, spilling into neighborhoods and nearby lots like Home Depot and even Target in Sand City.
Police eventually blocked streets and called in backup, but by then the tire rubber and noise had already left a mark. I get that car culture is part of Car Week, but there are so many official events.
