Took the 3PM FlixBus from Boston to NYC on Sunday and the whole thing was unreal. Only about seven of us boarding, and the driver suddenly starts trying to talk “Cantonese” to a Chinese couple. They politely say they speak Mandarin, and he just blows up yelling “why don’t you understand Cantonese, you’re Asian!” then going on about “you wouldn’t look at me and say do you speak black.”
Another passenger called him out for being rude and racist and they started yelling back and forth. Then he wrapped it up with “I’d love to debate this all day but I have to get this bus moving.”
The ride wasn’t any better. He lectured us about not using speakerphone… and then blasted a podcast on speaker the whole way, talking loudly to himself or someone on the phone. Drove like a maniac swerving, riding the fast lane, honking nonstop. Every horn blast jolted people awake.
Got to NYC and everyone basically sprinted off the bus. No idea how to even report the guy since he wouldn’t give a name.
