Domestically I do this all the time. I book the hotel, add my wife’s name, sometimes show up a day or two later, no issues. I’ll usually message or call ahead and it’s fine.
I’ve never tried this internationally or at an all inclusive though. We’re looking at a Mexico AI for spring break, but I’ve got a work trip the first few days and she’d want to go ahead of me.
My concern is the passport check. In the past at Mexico AIs they’ve checked both our passports at check in, which makes me think they might require the primary guest to be there.
I know the obvious answer is “have her book it herself,” but I’m sitting on a lot of points and I’m in the corporate challenge trying to get Globalist back, so I’d rather keep it under my account if possible.
Anyone done this successfully at a Mexico AI, or is this asking for trouble?
