Why would a plane change squawk halfway through a flight?

Was watching Frontier 1472 from Phoenix to Cleveland and noticed the squawk changed mid-flight started at 2656, then switched to 6261 more than halfway through. Just curious what the reason would be, since I don’t usually see that happen.
