If you're flying into Chicago and not heading overseas, Midway is seriously underrated. I used to default to O’Hare until I gave Midway a shot on a Southwest flight and wow, what a difference. It’s just eight miles from downtown, way less chaotic, and the compact layout makes getting through security and to your gate a breeze. No endless terminals or 40-minute Uber rides. For quick trips, it’s a total win.
Sure, O’Hare is the go-to for international and big network carriers, but if you’re bouncing around the U.S., Midway does the job. Plus, Southwest has a massive presence here with tons of daily flights. Anyone else prefer the ease of Midway? Or are you loyal to O’Hare for the lounge perks and international reach?
