I had no idea Honolulu’s airport had such a peaceful secret spot until my last trip. The Cultural Gardens tucked near Terminal 2 totally changed how I felt before boarding a long-haul flight. There’s a Japanese zigzag bridge, koi ponds, and waterfalls surrounded by tropical plants it honestly felt like stepping into a mini botanical garden. I found myself doing a few stretches and just breathing in the calm, something I’ve never done at an airport before.
I know HNL isn’t perfect, but this outdoor garden made me appreciate it in a whole new way.
