Why does ANA show as operating airline on my ORD–YYZ leg?

Looking at my itinerary and it lists ANA as the operating airline for the Chicago–Toronto flight, which seems odd. Anyone know why?

Also, my booking is in class L but I saw some fares in class S. Is there much difference I should be aware of?
