Noticing this more lately. Folks will board, sit down, and keep the shade closed the entire flight. I get it if the sun is blasting or you want to sleep, but on a clear day it feels wild to miss the views.
Today from ORD to DEN I was in 4B and asked the guy in 4A if he could crack one open. He just said no, that he booked the window specifically to keep it closed, then went back to his movie. Totally his right, just left me wondering why so many people prefer it that way now.
