I’m currently planning a family trip around Europe this fall and have been searching for hotels with suites or connecting rooms to make things easier with kids. While checking options in Zurich, I noticed that a surprising number of hotels were showing as unavailable.
I usually stay at the Renaissance, which still appears available, but this time I wanted to try Neues Schloss Privat instead.
What’s strange is that availability disappears throughout the year whenever I search for 2 adults and 2 kids. The moment I change the search to just 2 adults, suddenly plenty of rooms become available again.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m wondering if it’s related to occupancy rules, room configurations, or just how Marriott’s booking system handles children.
