I’m flying British Airways for the first time and noticed something strange in my booking.
When I check the seat assignment for both my wife and myself, it shows two seat numbers listed for each passenger instead of just one seat (for example, multiple economy seats like “42K” and another seat such as “36K” attached to the same person).
I’m not sure why this is happening. Does BA assign a temporary seat first and then change it later, or is this related to aircraft swaps, system updates, or seat reallocation?
Has anyone experienced this before? Should I expect the seat to change closer to departure, or is this just a display/system quirk in the booking?
Any explanation would be appreciated.
