Was looking at a RUH DXB LHR routing and was hoping to catch the A380, but looks like Emirates only runs the 777 to Riyadh now, about 5x daily.
Pretty sure EK used to fly the A380 on this route. Maybe they just don’t need the capacity anymore, especially with Saudia flying it like 8 to 10 times a day from what I can see.
Just wondering if there’s another reason behind it, slot issues, airport constraints, or just pure demand shift. Slightly disappointing, the A380 would’ve been nice on such a short hop.
