I finally made it to Corpus Christi, and I’m wondering why it’s not talked about as much as other Gulf Coast destinations. From catching a sunrise at Padre Island National Seashore and spotting a baby sea turtle! to exploring the USS Lexington and paying respects at the Selena Museum, this city surprised me with how much it has to offer. The bird-watching at Oso Bay was incredible, and the mix of Tex-Mex, fresh seafood, and even Filipino flavors kept every meal exciting.
What I loved most was how laid-back everything felt. The beaches are pristine, the traffic is minimal, and the locals have a genuine warmth that makes you feel welcome.
Plus, with 60+ miles of coastline nearby, you’re never far from the water. If you’ve been to Corpus Christi, what was your favorite experience? I’m already planning my return.
