Rode the Tube a bunch this week and was surprised how far down some of the stations go. One of them had two escalators plus stairs, and it didn’t even seem like the deepest one I used.
Stopped by the Transport Museum in Covent Garden (really cool, by the way) but couldn’t find an answer. Anyone know why they’re built so deep?
