Just watched an insightful interview with Booking Holdings’ CFO on Yahoo Finance, and it got me thinking. Apparently, fewer Canadians and Europeans are heading to the U.S. for vacations this year, preferring destinations in Asia or even staying within Europe. I’ve noticed this myself while traveling in Europe recently plenty of international tourists, but hardly any Americans or Canadians talking about U.S. plans.
It seems like the U.S. just isn’t as appealing right now, with shorter trips and lower hotel rates even for domestic travelers. I wonder if visa changes, global tensions, or maybe even cost of living shifts are part of the reason. Anyone else seeing or feeling this trend when they travel?
