I recently flew business class from Frankfurt to Boston and noticed something different compared to previous flights over the years.
Traditionally, Lufthansa used to offer a lighter second meal service around 90 minutes before landing, usually with a choice between a hot and cold option. That had been pretty standard on my flights for decades.
On this trip, though, the menu only mentioned something called “Sky Selection” after the main meal service. From what was explained, it’s basically a snack option available on request until about an hour before arrival, rather than a scheduled second meal.
I was surprised there was no proper pre-landing meal service anymore and was wondering when Lufthansa made this change.
