I came across a situation (similar to a recent passenger report I saw in the news) where someone booked an international flight specifically for a lie-flat business class seat, but the seat reportedly did not function properly during the flight.
This raises a question I’ve been thinking about:
If you paid for a lie-flat seat on a long-haul international flight and the seat did not fully recline or was unusable for part of the journey, what would you actually do in that situation?
Would you:
Request compensation from the airline
File a formal complaint after the flight
Escalate through credit card/travel insurance
Or just accept it if the flight was otherwise completed safely
I’m curious how others think this should be handled in practice, especially for premium cabin tickets where seat functionality is a major part of what you’re paying for.
