Tried to book a Delta flight today and as soon as I hit the payment screen, the fare suddenly jumped in price. Thought it was a glitch, so I refreshed the search… same thing. Tried the app instead… same thing. The fare Delta shows during the search isn’t actually available once you try to buy it.
Not sure if this is just Delta’s famously buggy website/app acting up again, or a new form of dynamic-pricing insanity, but either way I’m not playing that game. I’ll be booking with Lufthansa for this trip instead.
Anyone else seeing this lately? It’s wild that you can’t even purchase the price you’re shown.
