Not talking about major stuff like safety or scams. More the subtle things that don’t ruin a trip but quietly make it less enjoyable.
For me it’s transportation. If public transit is solid and it’s easy to move between neighborhoods or cities, I’m instantly happier. If I have to rent a car or spend ages decoding bus systems, I feel more drained. I also like having optional structure. Tours, classes, excursions. I don’t always book them, but I like knowing they’re there. And sometimes if a place doesn’t have a clear focal point or “hook,” it can feel a bit aimless for me.
Curious what other women notice as small point deductions. Is it food variety? Walkability? Cleanliness? Customer service? Something else entirely?
Not dealbreakers. Just those quiet little factors that shape your overall experience.
