I am confused about the positioning of the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property at St Paul Riverfront in Minneapolis. It feels like a lower-tier, around three-star level hotel and does not seem to match the expectations usually associated with the InterContinental brand.
There is already another InterContinental in the same area that appears significantly better in terms of quality and overall experience, which makes me question why both exist under the same branding in the same market.
I am trying to understand how this property fits into the brand portfolio and why it is still classified as an InterContinental despite the noticeable difference in standards.
