Hi, I’m a passenger and sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I know this might sound like a simple question, but I genuinely don’t know the correct etiquette.
On a 13-hour flight during cruise, after meal service was finished and the seatbelt signs were off, I wasn’t sure how to request a small item like snacks.
I’ve heard conflicting advice: some people say passengers shouldn’t use the call bell for minor requests and should go to the galley instead. Others say passengers should never go to the galley unless it’s an emergency because it is crew-only space used for work, rest, and breaks.
I don’t want to bother tired cabin crew or do the wrong thing. What is the appropriate way to handle this situation?
For context, I’m currently onboard a Cathay Pacific flight in premium economy.
