Can someone explain what is going on at Newark (EWR) right now?
I am watching flights on FR24 and noticing that several departures from Terminal C have been pushed out of the gate and are sitting just outside the ramp area for the past couple of hours. Meanwhile, other flights are still taking off normally.
It looks like a queue of a dozen or so aircraft just waiting with engines off or holding in place near the taxi area.
If anyone is actually on one of these flights, I feel for you, it sounds like a very long ground delay situation.
Does anyone know what is causing this kind of congestion or operational slowdown specifically at Terminal C?
