Booked a big trip to Turks and Caicos with over 800K Marriott points (plus a $2500 oceanfront upgrade). I’ve got insurance for the upgrade, flights, and medical stuff but not sure what happens to the points if flights get grounded because of the government shutdown.
Trip’s three weeks away, leaving right after Thanksgiving. If I can’t even leave the country, do I just lose the points? Anyone dealt with this before on a big redemption?
